Slough Town Football Club will host the first round of the National League Trust U11s Cup at Arbour Park on Thursday 26 November, giving local Year 6 pupils the opportunity to represent the Rebels in a competition that could ultimately lead to a final at Wembley Stadium.
The tournament will run from 12pm to 3pm and is open to boys/mixed and girls teams from Slough-based schools.
The National League Trust runs the annual U11s Cup across its member clubs, with schools competing for the chance to represent their local club in the later rounds of the competition.
Slough Town will host its first-round tournament at Arbour Park, with the winning boys/mixed and girls teams progressing to the next stage and continuing their journey as representatives of the Rebels.
The road to Wembley
The competition provides a unique opportunity for young players to experience representing their local football club and potentially play at one of the world’s most famous stadiums.
The competition progresses as follows:
First round: Slough Town’s tournament takes place at Arbour Park, with the winning boys/mixed and girls teams progressing to the next round.
Second round: The two successful teams represent Slough Town in a local regional tournament.
Final round: The winning teams continue through the competition for the opportunity to reach the National League South final against their Northern counterparts.
Wembley final: The National League U11s Cup final is held at Wembley Stadium before the National League Play-Off Final.
There is already a special connection between Slough Town and the competition, with a girls team representing the Club at Wembley just three years ago.
Could your school represent Slough Town?
We are inviting Slough-based schools with Year 6 boys/mixed or girls teams to get involved and take their first step towards a potential Wembley appearance.
If you know a school, PE lead or teacher who may be interested in taking part, please contact Slough Town Community Manager Adrian Gomm at adrian.gomm@sloughtownfc.com for further details.
