Slough Town return to league action on Saturday afternoon as Steve McKimm’s side make the trip to Kent to face promotion-chasing Maidstone United.

Maidstone United v Slough Town
Saturday 31 October, 3pm
Gallagher Stadium
Enterprise National League South

The Rebels head to the Gallagher Stadium looking to respond after Tuesday evening’s 3-1 defeat away to Truro City. Kyle Brooks gave Slough the lead in Cornwall, but three second-half goals turned the game in the hosts’ favour.

Slough currently sit bottom of the National League South with four points from 14 games, while Maidstone occupy third place with 26 points from 14 matches. The Stones are three points behind leaders Ebbsfleet United, although they have played two more games than the league leaders.

The Stones

Maidstone have made a strong start to the 2026/27 campaign and come into Saturday’s game sitting inside the playoff places.

They have won eight of their 14 league matches, with two draws and four defeats, scoring 24 goals and conceding 17.

The Stones’ most recent league matches have brought mixed results. They beat Maidenhead United 2-1 at the Gallagher Stadium on 17 October before drawing 1-1 away to Torquay United a week later.

On Tuesday evening, Maidstone were beaten 3-1 at home by league leaders Ebbsfleet United, with Jayden Davis scoring a late consolation for the hosts.

When we last met

Both matches last season produced away victories.

Maidstone recorded a 4-1 win at Arbour Park in October 2025, but Slough gained revenge when the sides met at the Gallagher Stadium in February this year.

John Gilbert put the hosts ahead shortly before half-time, but the Rebels responded after the break through Reading loanee Basil Tuma and Jaiden Drakes-Thomas to complete a 2-1 comeback victory. The win moved Slough up to 16th in the table at the time.

Tickets

Tickets for Saturday’s fixture are available through Fanbase.

Maidstone are offering the following admission prices for National League South matches:

Adults: £18
Concessions: £15
Youth (11-17): £10
Juniors (0-10): Free

Children aged 17 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult or concession unless they hold a 2026/27 youth season ticket or youth membership card.

Maidstone are also offering a £1 discount on Ground and Manchett Main Stand tickets purchased online before 8am on matchday.

Visiting the Gallagher Stadium

The Gallagher Stadium is located on James Whatman Way, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1LQ, close to Maidstone town centre and alongside the River Medway.

Turnstiles open at 12:30pm on Saturday, with entry for the fixture available through Turnstiles 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9. Turnstile 6 is reserved for season ticket holders.

There is no supporter parking at the stadium on first-team matchdays. Stadium parking is reserved for permit holders, and supporters are asked not to travel down James Whatman Way unless they have a pre-reserved parking pass.

The nearest public car parks include:
• Maidstone East Station – approximately a seven-minute walk
• County Road – approximately a seven-minute walk
• Fremlin Walk – approximately a ten-minute walk
• Lockmeadow Centre – with a scenic walk along the River Medway to the stadium

Maidstone East and Maidstone Barracks railway stations are both within walking distance of the Gallagher Stadium. From Maidstone town centre, the 101 bus stops at the top of James Whatman Way.

Supporters visiting for the first time will find a range of food and drink facilities around the ground, while the Spitfire Lounge opens at the same time as the turnstiles.

The Gallagher Stadium is a non-smoking venue, including a ban on e-cigarettes.

The opposition

Maidstone have scored 24 goals in their opening 14 league matches and have conceded 17, giving them a goal difference of +7.

They currently sit third in the table, behind Ebbsfleet United and Truro City, and ahead of Salisbury and Tonbridge Angels.

The Stones will be looking to bounce back from Tuesday's home defeat to Ebbsfleet, while Slough will be seeking a positive result after suffering their fourth successive defeat against Truro.

With both sides looking to respond to Tuesday night's results, Saturday's meeting provides another important test for the Rebels as they continue life under Steve McKimm.
