Josh McNamara

Bio

Josh McNamara joined Slough Town ahead of the 2026/27 season after spending the previous campaign with National League side Eastleigh.

A modern goalkeeper with strong distribution and commanding presence, McNamara developed through the academy ranks at Manchester City before continuing his progression at Southampton.

During his youth career he was part of Manchester City’s Under-18 side that won the Premier League 2 title in 2021/22 before moving to Southampton in 2023.

McNamara went on to make 17 appearances in Premier League 2 for Southampton’s Under-21 side across two seasons and gained senior experience during a loan spell with St Albans City in National League South.

Following a permanent move to Eastleigh in 2025, he made five National League appearances before joining the Rebels.

Still only 22, McNamara arrives at Arbour Park with significant potential and valuable experience gained within two Premier League academy systems and the National League.
