Chris Regis

Bio

Chris Regis is a 6’3” midfielder who joins Slough Town with extensive experience across the National League South and the non-League pyramid.

Born in Camden, London, Regis began his footballing journey in the academies at Arsenal and Southampton, completing a two-year scholarship with the Saints before joining Colchester United in 2015.

He gained his first taste of senior football during a loan spell with Maldon & Tiptree, scoring on his debut against Dereham Town, before later spells with Sittingbourne and Farnborough.

Regis earned an opportunity in the EFL with Port Vale in November 2017 after impressing on trial. He made his debut in the EFL Trophy against Crewe Alexandra and marked the occasion by scoring just four minutes into a 4-2 victory.

He subsequently returned to non-League football, representing a number of clubs including Torquay United, Wealdstone and Truro City, before spells with Coggeshall Town, Cambridge City and Barton Rovers.

Regis enjoyed a particularly busy 2022/23 campaign with Braintree Town, making 39 appearances as the club reached the National League South play-offs.

Further spells followed with Bishop's Stortford, Folkestone Invicta, Aveley, Concord Rangers and Sittingbourne, before he joined Hanwell Town in 2024. He made 41 appearances during the 2024/25 season, including the Middlesex Senior Cup final.

Regis joined Brantham Athletic during the 2025/26 campaign, making 11 appearances before his move to Slough Town.

Chris is a former England Under-17 international, having been selected for a tournament in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, in August 2012.

He made four appearances for England at that level and scored once, finding the net against Finland.

Regis arrives at Arbour Park having impressed during his pre-season trial period, with manager Alan Julian particularly impressed by his attitude, physicality and ability to offer something different in the centre of midfield.

He becomes the latest addition to the Slough Town squad ahead of the 2026/27 National League South campaign.
