Premier Midweek FL
Slough Town ran true to form at Chesham on Tuesday evening and easily defeated the United in the Premier Mid-Week Floodlight League and now lead their section of the competition by six points, their record reading played 7, won 6, drawn 1, goals for 20, against 5, points 17.

The two-goal margin by which the Rebels triumphed is no reflection of their superiority as they outplayed the United from start to finish, but without key scorers Tony Amos and John Ritchie many golden chances were missed. It was in the 25th minute that Slough took the lead when Ritchie headed home from a corner.

In the second half the tackling became very tough and Gregory, the Chesham striker, was carried off on a stretcher with a suspected broken leg following a clash with a Slough player.

Eleven minutes from time Wells brought off a brilliant save from Hill at the expense of a corner which led to O'Sullivan hooking the ball home. Eaton was booked for a foul on Worley, but many equally bad tackles were allowed to go unnoticed by the referee.
