About Henry

Henry Ochieng joined Slough Town in July 2024 and quickly became one of the club’s most influential players.

A powerful and composed midfielder, Henry brought extensive experience from across the National League system before arriving at Arbour Park and immediately established himself at the heart of the Rebels midfield.

His outstanding first season with the club saw him win a clean sweep of major individual honours, collecting the 2024/25 Manager’s Player of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season and Supporters’ Trust Player of the Season awards.

Ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, Henry was appointed club captain following the departure of Josh Jackman.

However, after making 14 appearances during the season, he suffered a serious ACL injury in the Emirates FA Cup tie against Enfield Town in October 2025. Surgery followed in December, ruling him out for the remainder of the campaign.

Despite the setback, Henry remained a key leader within the squad throughout his rehabilitation process and continues to be a hugely respected figure around the club.

Henry joined West Ham United's youth team in 2009. In 2015, he secured a scholarship with Leyton Orient, making his debut in November 2016. After 12 appearances, he was released in March 2018. He then had spells at Braintree Town, Welwyn Garden City and Wingate & Finchley before a transfer to Irish side Cork City in January 2020.

A transfer to Watford's U23 team followed, before moves to Billericay Town in December 2021 (21 apps), then Chelmsford City in July 2022 (27 apps, 1 goal). In February 2023, he joined Aldershot Town (10 apps) before returning to Chelmsford City in October 2023 (31 apps). He left the Clarets at the end of the 2023/24 season, which saw the club finish as runners-up in National League South.

Henry also received a call-up for Kenya's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone, but the match was cancelled. He did however make his debut for the Kenya U23 team against Mauritius in November 2018 in the 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations qualification.
